Computers are available for use during library open hours. All computer sessions will end 10 minutes before the Library closes.
Computers inside the Lab are not available when computer classes are in session.

Wireless Access
Wireless Internet access is available at all three Duluth Public Library locations. A sheet of log-on instructions is available at the service desks, if needed. Library staff are not able to help beyond the information covered in the instruction sheet. By using the Internet at the Library, you are agreeing to follow the Library's Internet Policy.

Using the Internet
All Library Internet access is through SAMS automated sign-up software, using your library card number or a Temporary Pass. By using the Internet at the Library, you are agreeing to follow the Library's Internet Policy.

Sign up to use a computer by entering your library card number and password at the login screen on any open computer. If there are no open computers, you may make a reservation at the Reservation Station inside the Computer Lab or using one of the catalog computers. You may make one reservation per day.

Registered users are eligible for 4 computer sessions/logins per day, for a maximum of 2 hours use, across all three library locations. The length of each login is determined by your computer selection. In the Computer Lab, depending on the computer you select, a session may last up to 60 minutes; sessions at the branch libraries and in Youth Services may last up to 30 minutes. Time may be extended if there are open computers or shortened if the computer you're using has been reserved by someone else.

Computers in Youth Services are restricted for use by people aged 18 and under or for parents accompanying children in Youth Services. Parents may request a Temporary Pass at the Youth Services desk and must deposit money into the Temporary Pass account in order to print.

If you do not have a library card with you, you may ask for a Temporary Pass to use in the Computer Lab or at a branch library.

Duluth and other Arrowhead Library System residents with valid photo ID may apply for a library card or get a 15-minute pass to use a computer.

Wisconsin residents may get one 15-minute pass or, with a valid photo ID, have their local library card information entered into SAMS.

Visitors with a valid photo ID may get one Temporary Pass per day for a single session; the length of the session is determined by the computer they select.

Visitors without a valid photo ID may get one 15-minute Temporary Pass per day for a single session.
