- an electronic version of the Chilton Total Car Care do-it-yourself
print manuals. Contains more than fifty years of information
covering the engine, chassis, electrical, drive train, and suspension.
Search by the car's year, make, and model. Available to Duluth
Public Library cardholders. Subscription provided by the Duluth
Library Foundation.

clubs for antique, classic, vintage, and muscle cars

Used and new car price guides, safety information, plus access
to background checks on used vehicles through VIN numbers.
- FuelEconomy.gov - "Gas Mileage, greenhouse gas
emissions, air pollution ratings, and air safety information
for new and used cars and trucks."

Institute for Highway Safety: Highway Loss Data Institute - Crash test ratings for new and used
automobiles, with photos showing the damaged cars and discussing
probably human injuries. Also gives fatality statistics in many
categories, and has excellent FAQ and Q&A sections that address
a wide variety of highway safety issues.
- IntelliChoice - a useful site from the publishers
of The Complete Car Cost Guide that provides information about
new or used cars, trucks, and vans. Includes detailed dealer
pricing, complete ownership costs and tips on the best buys.

Blue Book New Car Prices and Bluebook Value - New and used car reports and pricing guidelines
plus motorcycle, personal watercraft and snowmobile used prices.
- NADA
Used Vehicle Values & Appraisal Guides - The online database of the National Automobile
Dealers Association provides retail price for used cars, trucks,
boats, recreational vehicles, motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles,
motor homes, trailers, campers, and personal watercraft.
- National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration - provides access to vehicle and equipment information,
crash test results, DOT hotlines, airbag information and other
safety related issues.
- Small Engine Repair Center - Consists of Clymer and Intertec repair manuals
covering ATV's and motorcycles, lawn and garden equipment, outboards,
personal watercraft, snowmobiles and farm tractors. Subscription
provided by the Duluth Library Foundation.
- Uniform Tire Quality Grading - Comparative grade designations for
treadwear, traction and temperature for all passenger car tires,
