Divisions and Services
Branch Libraries - The Mt. Royal and West Duluth Branch Libraries provide general collections of popular books, magazines and media materials for people of all ages. Mt. Royal: (218) 730-4290; West Duluth: (218) 730-4280.
Circulation- The Circulation area checks materials in and out and manages records that relate to library users, including fines, items checked out, library cards, and passwords. Community Services - The Community Services office handles publicity, programming and the Library website. The staff liaison to the Duluth Library Foundation is in this office. Telephone: (218) 730-4236.

GovDelivery - an e-mail subscription service provided by the City of Duluth. You may request to have e-mail notifications sent to you when certain web pages are updated.
Home Library Service - offers delivery of library materials to Duluth residents who are physically unable to come to the Library. Telephone: (218) 730-4200. Due to lack of staff, this service has been suspended.
Interlibrary Loan - Materials the Duluth Public Library does not own may be borrowed from other libraries. Telephone: (218) 730-4228.
Media - The Media Area manages the collections of recorded materials: audiobooks, recorded music and movies, and foreign language kits. Click here for lists of new materials. Telephone: (218) 730-4200.

Reference and Information Services - The Reference staff uses print and non-print resources to answer questions in the library and over the telephone. Nonfiction books and the magazine collection are found in this area. Telephone: (218) 730-4202.
Technical Services - The Technical Services area processes library materials, getting them ready to appear on the shelves, and maintains the library's automation system and catalog.
