eReaders
There are 10 eReaders that can be checked out for 4 weeks (2 weeks if there is a waiting list): 3 Kindle Touch, 3 Nook Simple Touch, 2 Nook 1st generATION, 1 Sony Touch and 1 Sony Pocket Edition. Each is pre-loaded with hundreds of books.

EReaders will be kept in the Main Library's Fiction/Media area; they may be picked up and returned to the branch libraries but are only checked in at Main so be sure to allow enough time for the delivery back to Main in order to avoid fines.

Downloadable Books

Downloadable books may be Audiobooks that you listen to or eBooks that you read. The Audiobooks are in WMA and MP3 formats. The library has downloadable audiobooks from OverDrive and from OneClickdigital.

If you cannot find the answer to your question there, email webmail@duluth.lib.mn.us with a detailed explanation of your problem or fill out this online form. Library staff or OverDrive technical support staff will get back to you about the problem.

Sound Media Players
Sound Media Players are self-contained units that run off a AAA battery that you must provide. Use your own headphones or purchase a set of earbuds from the Main Library's checkout desk staff. Sound Media Player titles

Books on Disc
Fiction and nonfiction books on disc are found in the Main Library's Fiction & Media area. There is separate shelving for audiobooks for children and teens. The branch libraries also have audiobook collections.

 

DVDs
At the Main Library, feature films are found in the Popular Library area.
Nonfiction DVDs are in the 2nd floor Reference & Information area.
Children's DVDs are in Youth Services.

 

CDs
Music, sound effects, radio programs and relaxation

 

Foreign Language Kits
More than 25 languages available.
