When David Malmberg takes the stage, he doesn't come alone. Using the classic art of ventriloquism, David makes interesting and funny characters come to life, as well as sounds and voices appear out of virtually anywhere. Great comedy and great ventriloquism are all part of the show.

 Important Information for Adults

  • Free, fun, educational & entertaining programs for children are held outdoors on the Main Library Plaza, rain or shine.

  • Each program lasts about 45 minutes.

  • Arrive early to park & find a seat.

  • Bring a blanket to sit closer to the stage. Chairs are available. Strollers have special parking - see a volunteer when you arrive.

  • An adult should accompany kids under eight.

  • Groups of 50 or more should arrive at least a half hour early.

  • Sign language interpretation will be provided for all of the afternoon performances.

  • Promotional photos will be taken at the programs. Please talk to program staff if you do not wish your child to be photographed. For more information, call 730-4200/option 4.

Professionally trained with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, Sean Emery will scoop you up with his circus-y skills, comedy, and showmanship. His jaw-dropping juggling stunts will have you asking "how does he do that?" Sean has a lot of fun during his shows - and so will you!

T. Texas Terry, a "bigger than life" cowboy, will rope you into a comedy western show that's sure to make everyone smile. With whips, ropes, guns, and lots of humor, Terry gets everybody involved. Terry blends outstanding cowboy skills and down-home comedy with colorful tales that would make Will Rogers proud!

In Capable Hands

In Capable Hands will leave you begging for more. This comedy juggling husband and wife duo's show is filled with flying pizzas, juggled canned meat, pink flamingos, vanishing bananas, impaled potatoes and music played by pounding their heads. Always great fun, this act is appropriate for and appreciated by audiences of all ages.

The Okee Dokee Brothers

Back by popular demand! Childhood best friends Joe and Justin, The Okee Dokee Brothers, believe that music should be an energetic, interactive and fun experience, where kids can enjoy dancing, singing and playing instruments with their families. Their original music is inspired by their adventures canoeing down the Mississippi River and hiking the Appalachian Trail. Don't miss these Kaleidoscope favorites, who won the 2013 Grammy Award for Best Children's Album.
