The Duluth Public Library is pleased to announce the selection
for Duluth's second annual Reading: Bridge to a Wider World
project. Once again, all members of the community will be encouraged
to read and discuss the same book.
The 2003 book selection is Mitch Albom's
Tuesdays With Morrie, a New
York Times Bestseller.
Tuesdays
With Morrie is the story of an old man, a young man and life's
greatest lesson. It is a poignant story of a professor and student
confronting death, our ultimate common ground, and how the professor's
wisdom can help all of us.
The Duluth Public Library Reading: Bridge
to a Wider World Committee has planned community-wide events,
most occurring during April, 2003, featuring the book. A resource
guide is available at local book stores and libraries, and the
same information is available by clicking on the links at the
top of this page.
How Can You
Participate?
- Get the book! Check out Tuesdays With Morrie at your
library or buy your own copy at your local bookstore.
- Read! Between now and April 2003, join your family,

to use when organizing their discussion groups. Discussion guides
are available at the Duluth Public Library and your local bookstore,
or click on the Resource Guide links at the top of this page.
- Discuss! Organize your own book club at your home, community
center, senior center, coffee house or place of worship, and
discuss the variety of issues and themes raised in Tuesdays
With Morrie.
