Great Family Read-Alouds:
Picture Books, Poetry, Fairy Tales
Recommended by Duluth Public Library Youth Services Staff

So many authors and so many books to read aloud! And yet there are no perfect books until the right combination of reader and listener comes together. What happens then is pure magic. Trust your instincts. Read what you love to children you care about. The age levels given below are estimates, and many other books by these and other authors would be great choices to read aloud. Most of these books can be read in one sitting. Please ask library staff for more ideas!
