Basic Computer Classes
Classes are free and are held in the Main Library's Computer Lab. Space is limited to the first 14 people each week.
September 28 • Basic Computers, part 1
Learn computer basics, including use of the mouse and keyboard and parts of the computer. Part 1 of 2.
October 5 • Basic Computers, part 2
Learn computer basics, including use of the mouse and keyboard and parts of the computer. Part 2 of 2.
October 12 • Windows 7
Become familiar with the Windows 7 operating system, learn to identify parts of Windows and gain an understanding of basic file organization.
October 19 • World Wide Web
Learn the basics of surfing the Internet, including how to navigate to a webpage, search for information and remain safe in an online environment.
October 26 • Web and Email
Building on the information learned in the World Wide Web class, discover more web tips and create your own free email account.
November 2 • Email
Learn how to compose, send and receive email messages and attachments, as well as basic email security tips.
November 9 • Microsoft Word
Learn basic word processing skills, such as creating, editing and saving new documents.
